For over twenty five years, Frank Wechsler has been providing solutions for a wide variety of graphic design problems: logos, brochures, publications, newsletters, advertising, stationary, greeting cards, awards, and T shirts. He also has extensive experience as an educator.
Frank and his family relocated to Santa Fe in 2004 from New York City. There he was an associate designer with Ingrafx, Innovative Graphic Design Associates, and, subsequently, established his own design firm, fw graphic designs. Clients in New York included the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Danish Designs (a chain of retail furniture stores), The Andalex Group (commercial real estate), The Radio Foundation, Inc., and Families with Children from China. In addition, he taught Computer Graphics at the High School of Art & Design and the City University of New York.
In Santa Fe fw graphic designs’ clients have included The Santa Fe Public Schools, The Santa Fe Southern Railway, Santa Fe Business Alliance, the Santa Fe City Economic Development Fund, Earth Care International, Josh’s Barbecue, The Trust for Public Land (Santa Fe), Shaening & Associates (Health Consultants), Monte del Sol Charter School, and Temple Beth Shalom. Since June 2009, the Santa Fe Sun Monthly has been designed by fw graphic designs. Frank was also, for six years, an Adjunct Lecturer in the Media Arts department of Santa Fe Community College.
Frank studied design and computer graphics at the School of Visual Arts, the City College of New York, the University of Wisconsin, Parsons School of Design and the University of California, Berkeley.
Frank has also exhibited his work in several group art shows, both in New York and Santa Fe. He has been a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) for over 15 years and recently joined the Board of the New Mexico chapter.
